These lighter weight knickers from Pants To Poverty embody the same degree of style and quality as the other products in the range. They come in a pack of two contrasting colour schemes, ruched on the back. The cotton used is Fairtrade-certfied (see our guide to labels for an explanation) and classed as 'pesticide-free' rather than organic. It takes at least three years to gain organic certification, and during this time, farmers face increased costs, and find it hard to sell their cotton at a fair price because they lack certification. Pants To Poverty therefore make a point of supporting farmers who are in 'organic conversion'.
