These excellent jigsaw maps are surprisingly challenging. Comprising between 50 and 70 pieces (though the new UK map has almost 100), many of which are shaped like countries, these puzzles are aimed principally at curious primary school children, but we find that eleven and twelve-year-olds also derive great pleasure from them, and actually find them quite difficult — at least until they learn where the countries are (which is the whole point). This could be the year when the folks at Esme finally get to learn where all the states in the USA are! Designed in Wisconsin and manufactured in Germany from recycled card, these jigsaws are accompanied by extra learning materials which can be downloaded from the GeoToys website.
